I'm getting a new build started up and plan to finish it before I leave for college in January, I'm wanting to go with an all white theme, so that's why most of my choices are white, let me know if you guys would change anything.

Don't get the reference 980Ti, choose an after market cooler for it
Might as well go Skylake as it isn't that much more expensive but up to you
1000W is completely overkill, you won't be using any more than 650W.

As stated already
Don't get the reference 980ti an aftermarket cooler will do a lot better cooling it in load

16gb is not very necessary
8gb will satisfy 90% of people

1000w PSU is just extra money you don't need to spend

I would say go sky lake as it will allow you to go up to newer ddr4 memory as well as a new chip you wont need to upgrade for a while

If he can afford 16gb then why not go for it?

I already have a full Custom Gaming build with everything, I just wanted an overkill PC for the heck of it.

Why buy another PC for the heck of it? Thats a huge waste of money. Upgrade the one you currently have, Im sure it needs some upgrades. Then save the rest of the money for when you need it.

I would end up chaning most of parts in my currents build if I did that, I would want to upgrade my MOBO and try out Intel instead of AMD now. New GPU, don't have an SSD so add that, add a corsair liquid cooler, and thatgives me personally enough reason to just build a new one.

That is the point of upgrading. Hence the term upgrade. If you want to try out intel, it is considerably better, but AMD is still a great choice, then get a new motherboard and buy an Intel chip. No point in buying a new PC to "try out intel". Not stopping you from wasting money, just pointing out that it isnt the smartest thing.
