I'm looking to retint my winter car. It has either 55% or 60%

What would you guys do? The legal limit is 35 but I kinda want something a bit darker to have more privacy.
18 Looks too dark but maybe 25? Or 20? I could do 25 in fronts and 5 in the back? Cops are chill in my area I guess. I've been told by people who have 18% haven't got pulled over in like 7 years. if I do get pulled over for something, that is something they can get me on if they can't get me on anything else.

Well, in Tennessee (the state I live in) the legal limit is 35 and when I go to tint my Volvo here in a couple of weeks, I am going to wrap it in 10.
Cops aren't likely to stop you for having tint below the legal limit. But, if you piss them off and start running your mouth when in a routine traffic stop or something, they are well within their legal limit to rip off your tint right there.

Well if I was you I would just do the limit cause then a cop can't just stop you for that stupid shit

I would go like 20% more then likely they wont stop you for it. A buddy of mine has 5% and he hasn't been stopped for it. Hes had it for almost a year now.

I would get 20% it'll be plenty dark but allow just enough visibility that a cop shouldn't stop you. I have 25% on back glass on my truck and 18% on the sides. When I see a cop I crack my windows a few inches to let some light in. All my vehicles i have ever owned have had below legal tint limit and never had a problem. even being pulled over with it too dark.

I would do 20%. Its dark but not too dark.

What I did on my first truck i put a 20% on in the front with a 55% on the windshield so that it was easy on the eyes and I put a 5% (limo) on the back. So i would recommend that, but it is totally up to you.

I have 20% tint on my windows but I feel like it is still to transparent I would much rather 1%. I think you should go for 25% just to be safe.
