Hi the community of thetechgame, I just started attending college recently and I have no more use of my gaming pc, as I am getting older now. I am looking to sell the rig, but that is not what this thread is about. I want a laptop for 1400 us dollars or under, that has a pcie slot for m.2 ssd, the ability to play only csgo on 4k at any settings: low, medium, high(4k is a plus for gaming reason, but not necessary) , do my homework and watch videos at 4k. In that price point I just want to see what laptop I should go for. I plan on also getting docking station and eventually a new monitor, that supports 4k.
Thanks, Helix-Nebula
P.S Support for Windows 10

K now I'm confuzled.

You want a laptop to game on at 4k?

Good luck with that one.

If you want my honest advice, grab a laptop to do the stuff you need it to, then get a dektop to handle the 4k/gaming side of things.

PS: Gaming at 4k is over-rated - I use a 4k panel day in day out, i rarely play a game in 4k due to the amount of GPU usage it wants. CS:GO at 4k uses 99% pinned, at 1440p/1080p it uses like 12%.

Gaming at 4k need fixing for most things, so don't plan around doing that unless you really need to.

Well I want mostly for watching videos at that resolution, playing that one game at 4k is a plus but if it cant be done at that price point then just for videos.

Would watching videos or movie, those sort of everyday things be possible at 4k on a laptop?

On the laptop screen?

If you can find a 4k laptop then sure.

But if you mean to an external display, you'll need a laptop with HDMI2.0 or DisplayPort.

HDMI1.4 will work but 4k 30Hz is disgusting and need to die.

Sorry yes I mean external display, could you link me some laptops?
I plan on getting a 4k docking stations as well if that substitute those ports?
Is the Samsung SM951 256GB AHCI worth it, and other there any laptop motherboards that support PCIe 3.0 x4 lanes?
