I was wondering if anyone on the site had any knowledge on pre paid MasterCards. I went to Wal-Mart to get an iPhone 6 hooked up through Rogers (Phone carrier in Canada) and I got approved but need to make a $100 deposit. Because Wal-mart is not associated with the phone carrier, I would have to make the deposit via credit card. I'm 18 and currently don't have a credit card so I went up front and picked up a $100 pre paid card which is the exact amount the deposit is. Do you guys know if the full amount on the card is actually there? Or if they take 5 cents off the card just to make sure it's activated? The guy at the booth was puzzled and did not know what to tell me because he has set up many accounts with multiple providers using a pre paid card.

You get $100, although some companies say on prepaid cards you need 20% more than the value your paying or something like that to make sure they're getting full payment or w.e

that is only for SOME things though, if you double check with the walmart employee's they would be the best bet on how it works for their store
