Why do people call xb1 and ps4 next gen consoles?Posted:

Essentially my question is why do people call the xbox one and playstation 4 next generation consoles. I could understand them being called next gen when they were getting hyped up before release, but now that they are out shouldn't they be called current gen?

When the next Xbox and ps come out
Xbox one and ps4 will be called current gen
