I know one band that completely changed, lots of people don't like when their favorite bands change, but I for one like when they do. It's always something new to hear. You guys should compare and see what I mean by "change" look up the song "Pray For Plauges" by Bring Me The Horizon and then look up the song "Oh No" by the same band. I like it. That's my opinion though. What bands do you guys listen to that changed drastically?? Just curious.

Tbf also Asking Alexandria Compare stand up and scream (fantastic album that album got me into AA) to From Death to Destiny

One was a metalcore album and the other imo class it as rock

But hey thats just musicians tbf ,suppose they want to experiment and find a sound they like .Suppose thats what kinda drove danny worsnop to leaving AA ,didnt like the sound

Still a very good band ,just not as good as they where couple years back

I saw the title and literally thought BMTH instantly. Don't get me wrong they're still my favourite band but they are very different. I love diamonds aren't forever but I also really like Doomed and Happy song. I think the main reason BMTH changed was because Oli messed his voice up from all of the screaming in previous albums. You can hear his voice going in a lot of his newer stuff, especially at Reading festival this year. You can really hear him struggling.

People keep saying he's messed up his voice, but he played multiple songs off of old albums recently, including Pray For Plagues, and there was nothing wrong. Hell, it even sounded better than the actual album version. The major change(at least in my opinion) is because he's off the drugs. Once he got clean, you could tell he was different. At the Alt Press Music Awards, whenever they received the award for Album Of The Year, he said he doesn't want to scream anymore, he wants to sing.

I knew this would be full of BMTH mentions. They've probably changed the most out of all the bands I can think of. It makes sense though. They were young, his voice was new and they wanted to f**k s**t up. Now they're older and want a sound that appeals to a wider audience.
Sure I prefer the older stuff by BMTH, but that doesn't mean their more recent stuff isn't great. It's the same for bands like Asking Alexandria (until they got the new vocalist).
