I am thinking of buying this game as I've heard good things about it and I quite like shooter games and I heard it's better and harder than CoD which I don't mind as I am pretty good at shooters.

One thing I'd like to know is, is this game a pay to win game or nah?

absolutely fun game, in no way a pay to win. The only thing you could pay for is something that makes ur guns look pretty.

The only thing money goes towards is skins and knives. Those are only cosmetic and don't change the game at all. This game has a large skill gap so grinding to get better makes this game enjoyable. There are also a number of community things you can try like surfing so if you get a bit tired you can try something else.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think I will buy it as I don't want to spend over $100 just to win at a game to be honest

Well first off, a lot of new players think the game is very simple. Wrong, its one of the games where you really need to practice a lot to get better. Another thing is that skins don't your game play, they are for design and looks.

I would say if your into some competitive game play, this game is for you. The main part of CSGO is competitive play, a 5V5 in a variety of maps (Dust II for noobs and starters). I would suggest to find a team of 5 and play with them and learn. I also suggest not to solo Q at all, you will mostly people throwing, which lowers your competitive rank.

The guns are different, you need to learn how to use them (Spray patterns). Some guns are easy too use, others are not. You can search how to use them from videos. Ao overall, if this stuff seems like fun, then get it.

At first, you will start to say "Why would you waste 100$ in a video game", well let me tell you this, if you play for a while, you will be begging for skins. People mostly play it for the case openings you see on youtube. Don't do it, you will most likely get a 5-10$ skin IF LUCKY, not saying you cant get the good stuff but its very unlikely. Just buy the skins you want, and if you have any extra money left, then use it for case openings.

I wasted 700+ hours in it <3 (Wont regret it)!

Buy it, but buy no means expect to be good when you first start. Absolutely not a pay to win and with a price tag of $15, you can't really go wrong.

It's not pay to win. You don't have to drop am extra cent in game to be the best player. I have 1000+ hours and is by far my favorite game.

I wouldn't compare it to call of duty at all. They are completely different games.

COD is all about speed, run & gun and being on the offensive constantly.

CS:GO balances between offensive and defensive gameplay; protecting the bombsite or attacking it. It is very much skill-based where you will notice the lower leagues are still in the run & gun mentality of they try to not aim for the head and spray with the weapons in hope of a kill.
The experienced players will know to play slowly, aim carefully and shoot sparingly.

My honest opinion about CS:GO is that it is a good game as long as you are good at it.
I didn't particularly enjoy playing the game below my 100hr playtime mark. Once I reached a good enough skill level (Around Master Guardian) I really started to enjoy playing competitive.

I still prefer to play the custom games such as surfing and bhop servers compared to the main game.

The game isn't pay-to-win in any sort of way. The paid-for items are purely cosmetic.
The only way you could class it as pay-to-win is if you pay for hacks

Thank god, I love playing these sort of shooter games and used to be really good at them.
