Hey is it illegal to host modded lobbies on a game? Say world at war or mw2, or if I went online to public lobbies with mods? Is it illegal?

Well I don't consider it legal, but it's not illegal to the point that police are going to come barging at you're door step. It may get you're account or xbox banned depending on the severity of it, that's it though.

I would say no on this one. The police wouldn't waste their time I wouldn't think, they would most likely give you a warning. I wouldn't think the case would last long in court aha...

Xbox would simply console ban / account ban if it's bad.

Well yes it is illegal. Microsoft's policy doesn't allow you to 'hack' a game but just like they said above the police won't get involved, you'll just get yourself a console ban, if it was legal you wouldn't get any punishment.

In the real world or as to police officers, they wouldn't care.

But to the Xbox Team, they will probably perm bann or some kind of suspension.

Since its WaW. I doubt you will get banned.

Ok I can handle a simple console ban. Just wanted to make sure what I was doing wasn't going to get the police involved. Thanks guys(:
