Hey I'm getting a custom built gaming computer and wondering if this build will be a ideal setup for running games such as cod, minecraft, battlefield, world of warcraft, runescape and possibly more
Specs:

Nividia geforce gtx 970 4GB graphics card
1x8GB ddr4 ram
Asus z170-p: ATX, LG1151 motherboard
550w power supply
1tb hdd 7200rpm
Sharkoon bd28 case
£849 total

Case is disgusting
get 2X4GB RAM for dual channel mode
you need a CPU cooler too
and what PSU? 550W means nothing as it is entirely dependant on the brand as to whether it is a good one or not.
Finally, why no SSD?

what I would get
get an aftermarket cooler such as the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 ASAP for overclocking.

6600k with SSD, and a decent cooler for overclocking. Xfire support as well so you can easily add a 2nd 390 at any point.
