Keep the population down? You do understand that thousands are born, a DAY, right? No. They wouldn't make us breath toxin that finally kills us of 80 some YEARS after birth. Know how many would be born in that time frame?

Not to mention, we poison ourselves easily enough. Cigarettes, Factories, Cars. All pollution to the human lung systme(co2) which is lethal to us(Quite literally. We cannot breath it. We just have enough oxygen to balance it for those that don't know..)

If the government wanted to reduce population, they'd do it much more efficiently. I think we do need to be reduced too. Maybe 1/4 of our population or more? Were crowded. We barely have any room. The planet we call ours is dying and were doing next to nothing to stop that process. Even a week without human interaction would help this planet significantly.

BRING ON THE NEW PLAGUE!

JM- wrote It got me thinking until you mentioned the government.
agreed, get rid of the gov. and youve got a poison that could potentially be slowly killing us. what if we were on a different planet and just stopped aging!
