I just got a ASUS Z97-PRO motherboard but don't have a cpu. Which cpu should I get for it? I will be using this PC for gaming.

What is your budget and currency? As it is a Z97 motherboard it would be a waste not to get an unlocked CPU.

Is your budget $400-$500 for the CPU? Or the whole PC besides the motherboard?

If its just the CPU then an i5 4690k will do just fine for everything with a good liquid colling setup.

Maybe an i7 4790k if u wanted but the i5 would be a better for budget up to you

Thanks
