Hey, I have an ps3 that was gave to me and there is an problem with it, When i press the power button it turns on for an split sec, Than it instantly turns off, Does and one know the solution to the problem? thanks.

Sounds like you have a bricked or ylod ps3. If the ps3 is official firmware there isnt a whole lot you can do when its bricked. Theres a couple fixes for ylod search on youtube. They usually dont work but you could give it a try.

it does not have yold but ive never try'ed to jailbreak or install an new update via usb, its never been updated sense he got it from game stop// or updated by me and idk whats wrong with it... could it be the power supply or is the hard drive broke? because when it was gave to me roches where living in side of the ps3, it bc my friend has nasty house could the roches broke the hdd? if so can i buy an new hdd and install the firmware update that the ps3 had b4 it got messed up {firmware update 3.55}?

hahahahaha,thats a new one. I would open the ps3 up could be some damage inside theres no telling. New hdd might work as well. All worth a try. Hdd arent to expensive.

NVM sir it was not bricked it was the power supply, i got an new 1 from other old broken ps3 and put it in it and it fixed it :DDDD
