Do you believe in the Emo stereotype of all people that listen to Emo music are listed under the "Emo" Stereotype, or do you believe Emo music is intended to be emotive as originally described? "Emo" means emotional, that's because the listen they listen too is meant to be sad and gloomy but i know many songs that talk about sex and alcohol and who doesn't love them:)

All music is Emo (tional). Rap, country, metal, edm, ect. Every genre and every track puts out a certain emotion. Whether it be stereotypical sad and gloomy or the uplifting.
So this whole emo stereotype bollocks is nothing more than utter nonsense.

I don't usually listen to this kind of music. Sometimes it is very annoying when some people call goth as emo. And I don't think emo is even a subculture. It just happened that these scene kids listened to this type of music.

Thanks guys, it's just I listen to a lot of Post Hardcore, and "emo" music but to be honest I don't fit the scene that everyone connects the music to. I believe the stereotype should be dropped

By post hardcore - do you mean bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Rites of Spring, and Fugazi?
