If it's slow on start up, you could try this:

For Windows 8/8.1/10 (you can also do it on Windows 7/XP/Vista but is done differently)

1 - When the system is turned on and on the Windows Desktop, press 'Windows Key' and 'X' at the same time. This will bring up a shortcut menu.

2 - In the little menu, click on 'Run'.

3 - Next, click on the 'Startup' tab, then click on 'Open Task Manager'.

4 - Navigate to the 'Startup' tab as this will display all of the processes and programs that will be on upon startup. Majority of the time, this is what slows it down.

5 - Un-check anything there that you don't need on Startup. For example, you can disable programs like Skype, CCleaner, Steam and any other programs.(If you're unsure what the program is, just look at the 'Publisher' tab as it will tell you the company that it's made by. If it's made by Microsoft Corporation, or any thing similar that has 'Driver' in it's name, then leave it Enabled.)

6 - Once you have Disabled all of the junk programs (if you have any), then you should see a quite noticeable difference.

TIP: I would highly recommend getting a SSD, even if it's only a 60GB or 120GB drive. Putting your OS on there would speed the system up dramatically.

Hope I helped, good luck!
