No no no no no, just no.

Great, you have 15k, it doesn't mean you need to spend it. This is a first car so you will wreck it weather you are at fault or someone else. Your first car is the one you truely learn how to drive in. Get a POS beater car that you won't care about when you end up in a ditch.

Not only that, but that is pretty new, and a BMW so insurance will be EXPENSIVE.

Forget about insurance, what about repairs? Those will be really expensive. Don't think you won't need to get breaks or an oil change.

If I where you I'd buy the 3-5k Craigslist special and pocket the rest of your cash for a house or a rainy day.

If you are dead set on buying that car or spending that much, wait until you are 18 and finance it so while you are spending a big chunk of cash you are raising you credit.

Have fun with that
honestly, it's too much for a first car, being 17 you're statistically the most likely to have a crash, mostly it's down to people showing off their 'fast' cars.... if you get what I mean. it's too much power and too fast for a first car. buy it if you must but be prepared to drive like a granny for a year or so until you confident with driving because scrap value would be a waste of a nice car.

Nice but buy a starter car. If you really want detail of why just look it up. You could even save that money and go for a GTR in the future.

Buy it, deal with the problems later. Imagine how much fun you will have in that car. Terrible advice I know, but remember we were all 17 once. If he is set on it, then there is nothing we can do.

As nice as that car is, I simply wouldn't reccomend you getting one so nice / expensive as the insurance will be sky high. Get a quote before you jump ahead and purchase the car.

First off why the hell do you have $15,000 when you're 17. Second, if you do get that car, insurance will absolutely kill you.

Not advised, get something cheap. That can be your 2nd or 3rd car, now i admit repairs on a new BMW will be a lot.
