Well if it was your neighbour, it sounds like they poisoned the cat. You shouldn't have been lighting off firecrackers, especially when you know they hate them, but they should just call the cops and not take it into their own hands by killing your cat. That's just wrong.
I hope it is just a sad coincidence

By physically harming your cats in the past I wouldn't put it past your neighbour for doing such a thing. Although, taking the anger out on your harmless pet was a nasty and idiotic move. The anger should have been directed at you personally as a matter of fact and not the animal. Your neighbour should have more balls and do something to you.

Well you see, they can't do anything about it, because there is no proof I lit said firecracker. They used to have cats, and a few of my "older" cats live other there.

My neighbor is 76 I believe, shes a security guard for where my dad works haha
