Gameplay

In this addictive puzzle game, you have to connect three or more dots that are next to one another in order to pop them. Popping more in one chain will gain your more points, and get you closer to finishing the level. There are hundreds of levels in this game, so you will never be out of anything to do. In this game there are 3 different types of level. There are levels where you must pop a certain number of dots of certain colors to complete the level, and this is either limited by a time limit or a set number of chains/strings of pops. Another type of level requires you to score a certain number of points, again limited by time/number of moves. One other level type requires you to get diamonds to the bottom of the screen; When you pop dots, other dots on the top of them fall down, you must pop dots until diamond shaped ones fall down (which cannot be popped) to the bottom and disappear, you must get a certain number of them to the bottom of the screen to complete the level. All of the levels in the game are in groups of 6, usually with a variety of different level types in them. Each level has 3 possible stars to be earned, the quicker, better or higher score you get in levels the more stars you get. You also get special dots, one of which is the bomb. When you pop the bomb, all dots of the same color on the screen are popped, this can put a twist on the game and can completely change the outcome of a level. To unlock the next group you need to get a certain number of stars. I really like this game as it is easy to get into and you can have hours of fun on it as there are so many levels to play.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are very simple, flat, 2D and appealing colors. The style of the game is very smooth and has a very modern feeling. The color scheme in this game is basic, mainly just nice shades of primary and secondary colors which keeps the game simple with a white background, this separates the game from the aesthetic elements and makes it easier to see. I like the animations when you make chains between the dots, the dots that are connected emit a thin outline to let you know that you are connecting them. When you pop a chain of dots, more dots fall down and bounce a bit to make them more realistic and life like. Overall the graphics in this game are simple, but very nice and aesthetically pleasing.

Audio

In such a simple game like this you wouldn't expect much audio wise, but this game certainly delivers when it comes to sound effects making the game better to play. The most noticeable sounds in the game are the sounds made when you connect the dots, as you join more and more dots, the sound that plays gets higher and higher pitch. This is a very nice effect that I have never seen in any other games. You can tell just by the pitch of the sound how many dots you have chained up. There are other small sound effects that help you in the game, when you are playing on a mode that limits the number of moves you have, when you get to 5 moves remaining it will play a little jingle to remind you so that you don't waste them and fail the level.

Controls

The controls in this game are very simple, all you do to join the dots and pop them is drag your finger along the chain you want to create, this is very simple but can be slightly inaccurate sometimes. A way they could improve this is you having to press a button to confirm your selection before it uses your move, but that could also be annoying to use so the current control method is perfectly fine as it is.
