I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, but it seems right for this situation. So 6-30-15 (Tuesday), I was given

my permit because I passed the written test (On my 3rd/final attempt), but the permit they gave me expires 10-28-15? I

know for a fact when you're given a permit under the age of 18, you're suppose to keep that same permit for 6 months

before you're eligible to take the driving test and get your license. But my permit expires 10-28-15, but I was given it

6-30-15. If I was given my permit 6-30-15, and had to hold it for 6 months, wouldn't I be eligible for my driving test

12-30-15 because that's exactly 6 months? Did they make a mistake by putting the expiration on 10-28-15. BTW I'm

16 1/2.

Nah, It's 6 months, but I heard that permits last a year before it expires, but I still don't understand why my permit has an expiration date of 10-28-15.

We simply cannot sort out your DMV misfortune, go in there and discuss it.

Honestly, I wasn't asking you/ttg to sort it out in anyway; I just wanted an answer regarding my permit because it looks and sounds like an error, but I can be wrong due to many laws being change/added every year toward the DMV. I don't really keep up with the laws nowadays.

My drivers permit was good for a year. I'd question a printing mistake and maybe they means 10/30/16, but that is an odd number.

On a side note, I got my permit right before drivers ed and did my driving test with everyone else so I was ready to get my licence but I had to wait another 8 months before I got my license (8 months wait was because you have to be 16 for your license).

From what you told me, the permit must have been printed wrong.

Permits are supposed to be valid for a year, starting the day you pass you knowledge test
