How can someone obtain the special rank badges?

All I can see is special badge. But how does one get that badge?

For example, how do I obtain the game reviewer and all the other ones... Thanks so much everyone!

They are given out at admin discretion to users who they feel earn them. There is no set way to earn them, bar the Wizard badge which has a contest held for it every so often

You can get badges in several ways, for certain badges there is sometimes a challenge (usually wizard maybe ninja also?) and others are given out to helpful users mainly the Awesome badge. If I recall you can get the game reviewer badge from posting 50 game reviews (That get accepted).
