Don't you just love it when your replies are deleted?
I know I do! Especially when it's for no good reason.
I'm not sure why this keeps happening to me; whether it be the format I make my posts in, my username, my old picture, or what.
And I'm being completely serious..
Like, one example was when I was just trying to be nice by saying "I don't wish to enter, but good luck everyone!" in a gold giveaway. I check to see if there were any winners an hour later & my reply was deleted. (Before that, it was down-voted..? Okay..)
An even better one was when someone was asking an opinion with choices (not giving out any names). I check back to see if they've come to a conclusion and my input is gone.
I just don't understand. I'm trying to keep positive vibes on TTG & help out the community, but how can I when everything I try to say is removed?

Does this happen to anyone else?
(Hoping this isn't a bug that I'm experiencing when trying to submit responses.)

/rant

Edit: I'm not trying to abuse site rule 1.13 (going against staff actions).
I'm trying to understand why my response was deleted as for my second example..

I know that those kind of posts are sometimes considered to be spam.
There is a Thanks button after all.

I'm not sure about the second example, but the staff wouldn't just randomly delete a post.
You could post in the Ask the Staff forum about it, or PM a staff member about it.

One of the most annoying things is "good luck everyone NOT entering but im just trying to get my post count up because im a scrub on ttg" replies on gold giveaways..

Dont want your replies removed, dont spam, and make replies to topics that are actually related the topic at hand. Not sounding mean, just being honest.

For the thanks button, true; I could understand it appearing as spam. I just wanted to wish everyone luck & give positive energy.

And I might take your advice with talking to the staff.

I see why people do post saying good luck to everybody in threads because as you said, "I'm trying to keep positive vibes on TTG & help out the community." But you then must understand there is a purpose built feature which should be used.

Furthermore, the other replies that are deleted by staff are pretty self explanatory. You either said something you shouldn't or it is ridiculously pointless. They are just enforcing the rules at the end of the day but I can see where you are coming from.

Understandable for the first example.. But as I've stated in my second example, the creator was asking for opinions.
If my opinion was wanted, then why would it be deleted? It wasn't vulgar (like most opinionated replies).

I'm ok with my replies being deleted, I hate it when people reply to my replys when they aren't actually replying to me, then I can delete my reply if needed to do so.

The same thing has happened to me. And I respect you for trying to give good vibes on TTG. Thank you for doing that.

I'm not sure of every time this happened to you but
Like, one example was when I was just trying to be nice by saying "I don't wish to enter, but good luck everyone!" in a gold giveaway. I check to see if there were any winners an hour later & my reply was deleted. (Before that, it was down-voted..? Okay..)

For that one it's mostly likely because the OP was picking post number with random number generator, so you not entering but having a post there would effect all the other numbers....

I'm sorry you are seeing this issue, maybe contact a staff member about via pms if you think it's a personal thing against you.

We have a thanks button on every thread, so there is no need to post saying thank you. Doing so is considered spamming, and we will remove posts like that.

An even better one was when someone was asking an opinion with choices (not giving out any names). I check back to see if they've come to a conclusion and my input is gone.

Hard to tell when I don't know what the post in question was about. It may have been removed if it's suggestion not suitable for all ages on the site, or if it's a joke suggestion that doesn't help OP/anyone in anyway. If you know what the thread was, and the post that was deleted drop me a PM, and I may be able to answer that for you.

I can assure you we don't go around deleting random posts without reason, but it may seem like we do to some.
