As someone who hasn't read the books I didn't expect John snow to die for a while and not by his own people also yeah Lena is a babe.

To be honest I expected them to turn on him, they've been teasing it all season, just didn't expect it to happen then. I don't think he's truly dead, either he'll take consciousness in Ghost ala Bran, or Melisandre who appears back at Castle Black before his death will perform some blood magic to resurrect him.

The Giant in the Kings guard is the mountain, he was being experimented on after he was dying by being poisoned by Oberyn last season. You can see his face is a purple/black colour, he's essentially zombified by the looks of it.

I'm not sure Stannis is dead either, it never showed his death, so there may be something else there.

Long ass wait until next year now.

Disappointed AGAIN, as one of my favourite characters is killed off yet AGAIN.

Season 5 has had its highs but overall i think this season has been poor.

That was quite the episode. I didn't expect the Night's Watch to turn on Jon just yet. Hopefully Melisandre brings him back from the dead, as he's definitely one of the most interesting characters.

I'd also like to see the Mountain in action. I bet he has a dozen gatling guns and flamethrowers in his body, and possibly a jetpack. :badger:

What an episode, alot of people died and i think too many. I feel like they just used this episode to kill off everyone.

Now Jon Snow is gone i have no idea whats going to happen with the Walkers and Free Folk.

I don't think that the lure was Benjen Stark being alive for no reason.

In the books Benjen Stark is rumoured to be a white walker called Coldhands.
He rides around on his stag north of the wall and in the books he helps Bran get to the Greenseer.
I think they're going to turn Jon Snow into a different version of Coldhands.

Thats sort of what im thinking. They dont show him getting burned or anything, yet, and it would be a good way to keep things going and add another plot point to the series.

It's funny because before the episode I was thinking about how not too many important characters died this season.

So I've been looking around and these are 4 ways that Jon Snow might come back in a later season.

1) Melisandre is a Red Priest and they have the power to bring people back from the dead.
She is at Castle Black and is probably looking for a new leader to help her do whatever the Hell she is trying to do.

2) Jon Snow might be a Targaryen, if the whole Rhaegar Targeryan/Lyana Stark theory is to be believed.
So when the Night's Watch attempt to burn Jon's body, to stop him becoming a Wight, he will walk out of the flames as Jon Targaryen.
[I like this theory most]

3) Jon will Warg into Ghost.
In the books, this is how Jon's death is described:
"Jon fell to his knees. He found the daggers hilt and wrenched it free. In the cold night air the wound was smoking. 'Ghost,' he whispered. Pain washed over him. Stick them with the pointy end. When the third dagger took him between the shoulder blades, he gave a grunt and fell face-first into the snow. He never felt the fourth knife. Only the cold "

Some are saying that the reason why he didn't feel the fourth stab was because he had already warged into Ghost.

4) Jon becomes a White Walker.
Like I've mentioned earlier in this thread there is potential for Jon to be turned into the character of Coldhands, but after discovering the second option above, this seems unlikely.
