Found crazy way to stay gold longer | Xbox livePosted:

It's very simple. If you are on a membership and about to run out in days or even hours then this is for you.
All you have to do is change your region of your Xbox live account from U.S to UK or vice versa if your in the UK.
I'll put the link below of where you'll go to do change your region. It's gonna ask you to sign in so just sign in and then just follow the procedure in the link. Once your done your profile will glitch and say there is a problem with the server but that's normal. And then when you go check your membership, you have basically renewed your Xbox live membership for free.

once you have done this do you have to stay on that region or can you change back again?

the only problem is you can't change back unlimited times, and you have to wait 6 months, happened to me.

I done it ages ago by accident, and it changes the currency, it'll now be in GBP for you, and it's more expensive.

It's not, it's cheaper if you change from UK to US, more expensive if you change to US to UK, as it only changes currency, not numbers, and as GBP is the stronger currency, it costs more.
