1080p ultrawide, cheaper than the 27" 1080p panel but it's an ultrawide so it could be a pain in the ass, idk?

I'm currently playing on a 37" TV and i personally think that 1080P looks nice on it, even though i am sitting right in front of it. Cx So having a 27" will probably make it look nicer and more crisp for me.

I kinda like the widescreen one but i have a GTX 660 currently, probably gonna get that R9 290 that someone said i should get for £197, but if i use the ultrawide, wouldn't that make the games run a little harder due to more pixels?

It's a higher resolution so yes, running games at 2560x1080 is more demanding than 1920x1080, but not by a huge amount. 290 will handle it easily. However, not all games support ultrawide resolutions, so you might be playing games at 1920x1080 with black bars on the side. Ultrawide's are mainly good for productivity and watching movies. They can be pretty nice with games that support 2560x1080, but you'd be better off with the AOC panel IMHO. Anything larger than 24" or 25" at 1080p is meh for PC use.

I will be using the monitor to watch films as well when i am in bed so i kinda like the idea of the ultrawide but i may go with the AOC and get a second for better productivity. I use my TV with some old crappy 2nd monitor, helps when i use photoshop or when i want to play games and watch a little TV.

I probably will go with the AOC, thanks for your help. : )
