Hello, I wanted to find a good program for recording and shows my FPS when I'm not recording. I've heard of Dxtory, but I can't find an official website to download it. All I see are random websites that seems malicious.

Fraps will do the job for you as you can set it to not record the FPS counter overlay when recording however the program isn't free but there are free ways of getting it also the file sizes it outputs are huge and it has a tendency to drop your games frame rate while recording.

If you have an Nvidia card you can turn on a FPS overlay and use shadowplay to record, records good quality video and puts almost no strain on your hardware.

Steam also has it's own built in FPS counter you can turn on in the settings.

I use Action. It is paid, but there is a 30 day free trial. It is well worth paying for it, as it is only like $30 and is one of the most in depth programs for recording. Not to mention you can record your desktop as well, which you cannot do in Fraps. I would 100% recommend it to a friend
