Finally a custom loop. Literally haven't seen a single custom loop on this site since I posted this thread;
https://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=6902921/ultimate-watercooling-guide.html

That looks like the Mayhem Aurora liquid you've got in there? Just makes me wish I'd done a custom loop already.

On topic- Custom BIOS' aren't my cup of tea, personally, but nice topic. Would be better suited in PC Support or PC General but w/e.

yeah i wasnt too sure tbh but building a PC you do tweak things i guess so could be classed as building haha.

its actually X1 as the standard Aurora isn't recommended for prolonged use. i just added Aurura 2 Booster which is a concentrated bottle of the swirly stuff. so im actually using a propercooler just with an additive

Quick question about a waterloop, do you have to change out the water often or not?

Depends. You do have to do some maintenance. You should completely drain the loop and put new liquid in every 6-12 months though, typically.

Ah, that's a lot more longer than what i thought. I watched a video, i cant remember who's it was but they mentioned that every 2-4 days you need to tighten the clamps for the tubing because they shrink or something?

That's not changing liquid though. If you use barb fittings, then you should be using clamps or zip ties or something to keep 'em secure and for the first little while, they should be tightened every so often but after a while, they'll be fine, just tighten 'em when they look loose. Or, save all that hassle and just get compression fittings which don't need clamps or any of that pain in the ass crap.

I know it's not changing liquid, that was a different question.

So how much more expensive are the compression fittings to the normal clamps?

Different for different countries and on different sites, obviously.
https://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=6902921/ultimate-watercooling-guide.html
I have some more info on there, give it a read.

Barb fittings are the one that people typically use zipties or clamps or something else on. Compression fittings are better.

Ah, right. Well if you was to do a custom water loop, may as well spend more money on making sure it doesn't leak out or anything. When i get to the point of doing something like that i will most likely get them compression fittings.
