Now Marty, why are your dreams crushed? I would actually like to know the story behind this!

Lets use Lewis Hamilton for example, He started Go-Karting at the age of 8. Now this is usually the starting point but you don't have to start here, of course you can start a little later but the problem Lewis never had was money. I can't afford my own kart to race in and the running costs are too expensive. At the bare minimum you are looking at around 2900 USD or 1700 GBP just for the kart, this does not include spare tires, mechanics and all the other stuff that come with it. So long story short you need to have money to become professional. I mean, I am not going to give up I race rental karts as much as I can but maybe something might break through when I can afford my own. Hopefully before 17.

Thats true. Unfortunately money is needed for EVERYTHING. I would save my money for a real car (Subaru WRX/STI) and participate in illegal underground racing for money and pinkslips lol. No but in all seriousness, good luck with whatever you decide to pursue in life!!

Great choice! My cousin is currently volunteering at our local fire department and is going to become a fire marshal. Thanks for your service man!
