i will update the list if the amd 300 series gpu's are good and either a little cheaper or near enough the same cost of a 970. if they are not, i will stick with the 970 sli.

is this a good goal to try and reach for a gaming pc or if you can build a better one, please share, also if you make me one, can you leave out the ssd, hdd and psu.. already got them or if i should get a 2TB hdd instead, but try and get it around the 2.1-2.5k mark please. : )

4k ezpz? Since it's a gaming rig, 16GB RAM is unnecessary, and X99 is going to be no benefit whatsoever. 4790k actually out-performs the 5960x in gaming. Use the remaining £600 for a dank af custom loop. Most logical thing to do with £2.5k IMO.

thank for your help. i saw online that the 5960x is for more gfx or for video editing while the 4790k is more for gaming.

i have the psu, ssd and the hdd, so that's an extra 220gbp saved, i was thinking the acer predator for gaming or a 4k monitor that is 27" or bigger.

i have edited your list a little to more suit my needs. i prefer the looks of the NZXT source 530 case and it also supports the x61 kraken which i think you said you had or you recommended a few people.

is that any good?

thanks for your help.

i kinda dont want to spend £800 on a cpu that's stuck on x99 boards, that means more expensive motherboard and ram.

The Source 530 is a budget full sized case. Enthoo Pro is better, that's why I suggested it. The Enthoo Pro has more than enough space for the X61, but the H110i GT would be a better choice for an AIO with a 280mm rad, it performs better than the X61. That said, Titan X deserves a custom loop.

That Asus panel isn't good. If you need a larger panel, here;

The thing is, knowing how i am i will end up **** up my gpu, after i get my titan in the near future, i may take apart my current gpu one to know how it all goes and try and do a custom loop.

Will it be possible to just do a loop for the gpu?

as i am gonna get a x61 or as you say the H110i for the cpu.

i only chose the 530 as it's cheaper to get and i can get that now ready for the atx motherboard. that's the first step for me as my current case is a crappy one that i got off a friend a while back.

Yeah, practice would make sense. As long as you take your time though and research what you're doing, you can't really mess up too bad. The Titan X's cooler bottlenecks it so custom loop just makes sense. Yes, seperate loops for the CPU and GPU are possible, so you could have an AIO for the CPU. Don't cheap out on your case. The 530 is by no means a bad case, but it's a budget full sized case. The full sized case is only for custom loop support, if you're not going to bother with a custom loop, get a mid sized case, either the H440 or Define R5. Otherwise, Enthoo Pro is perfect, it's still a budget full sized case but it's an absolute steal for the price.
