Look for jobs right now where you can apply online that way you will already have a job interview somewhere. Then you can just walk to the interview if you have to.

You don't need a VISA to work in Germany, if you're a Scottish citizen then you're a member of the EU, so you can work and live anywhere in the EU.

As you said you don't want to be persuaded otherwise, however as you've stated, if you don't know German then you're not going to live a normal life. If you really want to move then go to England or something, you're not going to get benefits in Germany and you won't find a job if you can't speak German, you'll end up begging with no income.

You need a better plan to start a life in a foreign country than go and hope.

A country or place where they are English dependent would be better, but I would advise just moving further down the country as you are still moving away to your own space but you will have less worries. You don't wanna live on the street man.. You want a nice life.

I understand you have made up your mind. But would you really want to move to a different country, with nothing more than £200? I would honestly try and save around £1000, or you will end up homeless. And no chance of getting a job.

I have done a couple of weeks work in Germany and they tend to speak good English, specially they younger generations as they learn it at school.

I would strongly recommend learning basic German before even applying, at least then you are showing that you are willing to put the effort in and learn the language.

Plus, £200 probably won't last a week by the time you have traveled over there bought food and accommodation

I've always wanted to go travelling but never had the courage to do so.

I'm still only 20 so there's plenty of time to do it.

I say go for it, but make sure to plan it out.

Try save up some money to be on the safe side and ensure you have somewhere to stay/preferably work when you get wherever you go, Germany in your case.
