get a PC ;)

Yeah, I think this is the key thing with the whole xbox vs ps4 vs wiiu vs pc vs whatever.

Despite PC being a better platform (and without getting into developer technicalities), as long as you can enjoy playing some games with a few friends you shouldn't have to complain or argue with anyone.

I find consoles more casual, that's why I'm a console "gamer".

What is it that makes you class them as more casual though?

Steam's Big Picture mode pretty much makes a PC work like the typical console interface.
I often like to sit back on my sofa, launch up some game via Big Picture and sit back with my controller.

If you wanted a completely "casual" experience with PC gaming, SteamOS offers a nice fast interface, acting similar to Big Picture.

You don't have to build an xbox.

Put it this way, I'm not good with PC hardware and software.

This is partly why I'm looking forward to the release of the Steam machines.
They are pretty much the same thing as a console. I don't see how people can complain about them when comparing to other consoles.
A Steam machine will be a ready-upon-purchase machine, like every other console, that you can have your controller if you want and purchase a multitude of games from the Steam store.

Can you upgrade your xbox 360/One and ps4/ps3 to handle newer games in 5-10 years?

Nope. ahahahaha.

Can xbox one games play games on ULTRA?
NOPE.

I know this for a fact because xbox one runs most games on low to medium and GTA & battlefield 4 are NOT ON ULTRA.

Ive compared BF3 on 360 to PC and its a complete no go.
Also compared BF4 on One to PC and same results.

Games on consoles have garbage graphics comparing to PC's capabilities.

Xbox one and PS4 are just a "step up" from low settings to medium.
(Wow what an upgrade! -sarcasm)

But consoles are generally for finding friends easier and have a community with most players having mics.

On PC, its sometimes difficult finding someone who can actually get a mic for PC (Which any platform, SHOULD have people with mics)

I find that PC's are for the more hardcore gamers, with a wide array of expert equipment/software available to you, so you can enhance your game.

I like consoles, because they're so easy to use and setup. All my friends are on consoles, I don't know a single person who's a PC gamer.

You do not need to be an "expert" to build, and maintain a PC.

As someone who's built PCs for around 2-3years, it's legitimately adult legos with cords. Read the manual, plug in things where they go, if you're stuck you watch a video (I will ALWAYS recommend NewEgg/LinusTechTips for FULL build guides)

I agree with they are "easy to use and setup" In fact they actually are better in that sense.

I was a console gamer for 6-7years before I switched to PC. No one I knew was a PC Gamer either. But I still switched and do not regret it at all.

I know I wouldn't be able to build a PC. I know nothing about technology. I prefer playing consoles, because of the simplicity of it. I use to have a gaming PC, it'd freeze all the time, the internet wouldn't work on it for days or even possible weeks. It completely put me off PC gaming.

My two cents: people need to stop arguing over what's better and just use whatever means is best for them.

Each method of playing games is great and each has their own unique pro's and con's. There's no perfect system.

I prefer PC gaming because it allows me to be creative with the "console" I own. I also use it for many things outside of playing games, but the trade-offs include things like frequent maintenance and a generally larger price tag. While the pro's (higher framerates, customization, etc.) outweigh the con's for me, they don't for everyone, and that's totally fine.

I would never try to sway someone's choice just because it's not what I would choose, I'd just give them my opinion and see if it sticks.

TLDR: It's just games, stop arguing.

PC is actually a lot better than consoles for many reasons.

I have never had issues with drives and updates like you have stated.

Consoles get updates and patches sooner, because Sony and Microsoft are a driving force that demand the updates sooner. Activison and other publishers know that there is more money to be made from the consoles so they get the updates sooner.

A console is basically a dumbed down PC. Limited functions compared to a PC.
I don't hate consoles, but PC Master Race is an accurate thing.

You play what you want to play, i find Consoles, my Xbox one in particular a more laid back and enjoyable experience, anyone who argues about platforms is either a twelvie or just a blatant sad act, news flash, it doesn't matter what you play.

It's bad how this is an actual argument imo, i cry for some people
