Which headset do you guys use and which do you think is the best? I was looking at the Astro A40s and there is a version specifically for X1, but they don't have the same sound quality as the original. However, if I buy the original Astros I have to buy a bunch of other cables just to use in on my Xbox. Any suggestions?

If you are wanting to buy Astros, just buy the PC version and get the xbox chat adapter. Works like a charm.

But honestly, I suggest an actual PC headset. The sound quality would be better.
Brands like Razer, Logitech, or HyperX I know work on with the Xbox One chat adapter.

I already have the chat adapter for my turtle beaches, so if I bought the PC Astros I could use them right out of the box?

That is correct.

You would only be using one cable connecting the headset to the adapter.
