Looks good. I see you have 1 horizontal guide. I think you need 2 more for the very top and very bottom. bottom looks perfect but I think top is a few pixels off.

The original looks far better, the adjustments you made threw off the entire flow.
There are far too many angle conflicts that alter the subliminal shapes.

I agree with you 100% also There isn't much skill required to pen tool shapes
