How do we ever expect to win the World Cup or Euros?

We are just not the same quality of teams like Germany, Brazil, France, Spain, Netherlands and Italy.

Espeicially with the rising of teams like Columbia, Belgium and Chile.

There is literally no hope for us, for a very long time anyway.



What are your opinions?

We won nothing when we had the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Beckham, Neville, how are we going to win anything with this team?

Second half was decent, have to experiment more though, use more youth players, give them a chance.

Completely agree.

Unlike a lot of the other top nations, we do not have any stand out, world class players.

Cannot see us achieving anything in a long, long time..

Thing is the younger players get too much pressure on them from the media and they're over hyped. Also doesn't help when mediocre players like Delph and Ryan Mason get in the squad. I think the national setup is a bit of a joke right now.

Well it's all because of the Prem's infrastructure.
Our prem teams have amazing U21 English players, but hunt for foreign players, all because they're known to be better. They don't try our own talent

But the only way to do that is to increase the amount of home-grown players required in each squad, but that would mean most PL teams selling foreign players which will undoubtedly weaken the PL as a league, decreasing its' reputation etc. etc.

It's all about finding the right balance

It's not just Football, look at Cricket, and Rugby, granted Rugby wasn't to bad the past month but prior to that it was in decline..

Our u21s would beat the senior team. At least the youth have determination.

England are looking to win the World Cup in Rugby. Not too bad in Olympic sports; like Cycling or Rowing. At least we've got some sports!

I agree with cricket, we're abysmal at that.
