Personally the Burka should be banned, if they come to the UK they have to abide by our rules.

One of the main reasons France banned these wasn't out of spite or to make a point, it was because crimes detected on CCTV in the heart of major cities where there are huge muslim communities were almost untraceable for suspects, as no facial features are shown whilst these are worn.

I personally think we would be better off without them, however, I haven't seen the crime statistics for the UK, so if this isn't already a major problem then perhaps making them illegal is excessive.

Wouldn't criminals just wear some sort of a mask to avoid identification though? Whether they are religious or not...

Perhaps, but a lot don't and a lot of them are caught because of this.

I'm not trying to be rude but do you have anything to back up what you are saying because I simply do not believe it. Not to call you a liar though.

In my eyes france got it right because the UK is a breeding ground for extremists
now im not saying everyone muslim is an extremist but you see it on the news that more and more british muslims are deciding to join
extremist groups and travel out to syria etc and the rates of a terrorist event happening here in the UK is rising and for me
a burka is something to hide behind because whether it be a man or woman under there
offers great concealment if looking to cause harm to the public

What you're asking me to prove that not all criminals wear masks? There are shows aired on the BBC every week such as Watchdog that show CCTV images of criminals asking for the viewers to send in any info they may have, there are a bunch of idiots out there who don't wear masks..

You've pretty much summed up the thing of, if you don't know what to say, just bring out the racist card!

Personally I wouldn't consider it racist, more ignorant. I'm not saying you are an ignorant person but somewhat ignorant to their culture.

I understand you have doubts and such but I don't really see people wearing the burqa telling us what to wear, what's wrong with our clothes and nitpicking everything wrong with it. Ignorance breeds racism.

"The burqa covers the face, not the mind."

That's the point though, it covers the face!
Which means there is no way of identification or identity towards them.

That implies that you must know a person's exact facial features to have their identity though. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I think banning the whole concept of the burqa is way too far, possibly removing the burqa in places with a security risk where proper identification is required and not just a name should be tolerated.

No, I'm asking you to prove that "a lot don't." If the people are purposely using the burqa as a mask (which most aren't) maybe we should ban anything that can be used to cover up your face or head. We would ban just about everything.

Exceem wrote Okay, its fine. I didnt get all of those points for no reason. I guess no one cares about what they're actually doing with the ban/no ban for the burqa law.

I wasn't trying to be a di*k dude. I don't really understand what you mean to be honest.

Put wrote I'm going to try not to offend anybody but:

I'm voting for UKIP, I don't like the idea of all of these people coming to our country for the NHS and benefits. This country is slowly falling apart, the NHS will soon collapse and people will still be seeking benefits.

If benefits were removed, a lot of people will be left with nothing, only making the situation worse.

Little rant, got nothing against religion, this is my own view on what is best for our country.

If benefits were removed, a lot more British people would suffer than you actually think lol. I live in a council estate and my parents own a business. Its full of English people who claim benefits by having 4 kids. The foreigners come here and work, not for a lot but they come here for work. (InB4 someone says 'they take our jobs')

There is a lot of english people who are very lazy and don't have any motivation to go onto university or further education, and its only got better this year because they have brought in the ruling of no leaving education until you're 18. A lot of my english friends have no idea what they are doing next year, where as a lot of British Asians or Europeans actually planned what they want to do and are motivated to have a good future.
