So if I use an ethernet cable to use my xbox one with instead of using wifi, does that mean when I am on my xbox people cant use my computer that the gateway is hooked up to?

I heard you cant use both at once, is it true?

close lol but no.

I'll try to explain it better.

So i use wifi with my xbox one but it started to lag really bad lately and idk why. so i was going to run and ethernet cable from my router/modem to my xbox one. But my computer is hooked up to the router/modem too. So if i had 2 ethernet cables running from my router/modem to my xbox and computer, would I be able to use them both at the same time? Or would it be like if im on my xbox one no one can use the computer until I get off? visa versa.

If you have both your computer and xbox one hooked up to a router/modem via ethernet, you still can use both at the same time.

Im sure this will still work, When there's downloads ect.. it may interfere ect.. but I don't think you will have anyway problems.
& If your having a bad connection, that's a problem that could be solved without using an Ethernet cable man.
