1. Restart GTA
2. While loading press X(Xbox),Square(PlayStation) to load Online.
3. You should load into a game and get an error, Press A(Xbox),X(PlayStation).
4. You should load back into single player.
5. When back into single player start a solo friend session.
6. You should load into a free mode session.

This may work for you or may not, it worked for me.

Tried didn't work for me. Also when I completed a heist mission it kicks me out right at the finish so don't waste your time even if it lets you online.
