My opinion? Well I've never been asked this question but I am going to tell you this, I'm going to enjoy answering your question sir. First of all, the teachers that I have had experience with in the nation of 'Murica are irresponsible and idiotic. Note that not all of them are like this. I'm just going off the experiences that I've had. One of those experiences is with my current Liberty and Law teacher. Normally he's quite a nice guy until the class got on his nerves and moved everyone. I had my seat set and everything as such, note my desk is big enough to fit me (a lot of me). It worked well until I was moved. The desks are not allowed to be moved so I am stuck with this puny ass desk that feels like it will break underneath me. It pains me to sit in and I have asked the teacher multiple times about me switching seats and his response is always "You didn't complain when you were sitting with your friends". It's ridiculous that teachers are mindless like this. If you see a person that is a little heavier that what the standard is, then allow that student to move seats. Now, my next thing to "complain" about is the way the teachers teach here at my campus of a high school. Since moving to this school, I've learnt that you are only allowed three days to learn a chapter of a book ie. Math, Reading, Science ect... My old schools would normally take a week or two on one chapter. Cramming all this information into our heads is useless as it will not "stick" with us when our next test is, and our school wide grades reflect that. Many people complain about Math, such as when are we going to use the Quadratic formula in our day to day life? I understand if you're going into a field of that type, but isn't that what college is for? Expanding knowledge to get you ready for your career choice? I'm sorry, I'm rambling. I'll end it here.

Not rambling at all man I totally agree. Information now is to be remembered for a test and forgotten a week later. We aren't learning things that at necessary, its like they are trying to make perfect little robots that can do anything.

Lets just say that most students go to school to pass and not to learn. It's not about learning anymore, the only thing the students do is try to pass. Some teachers are way too strict and just grade you based on the smallest things. The biggest thing I hate is that you can get a teacher that is really hard and grades like an ass while other teachers in the same subject are much easier so your grade would be higher. The whole education system has gone to shit.

It sucks in Ireland. It's the same as the UK system for the most part, except here we are forced to learn irish language which was a pointless use of 4 years.. and when I left school with decent grades they forced me to do a year course in travel and tourism (the most pointless subject ever!)

The problem with schools (in America anyway) is that their goal isn't to educate us, it's to help us pass our tests and go to college.

Period.

Dropped from High School then college I'd say the UK's teachers are bad and only care about the brainy students while the less knowledged ones suffer. You can tell how I write my english teacher was bad. xD
