I was recently given a twitter account with 100k followers and I was wondering if anyone had a good idea of what kind of account I should make it. Ex: sports, comedy, etc.

You should make like a news website and link the articles with pictures and stuff and monetize the website. Good way to make some extra money.

It depends on why they are following in the first place, were the followers bought or is the page actually for something?

I would say sports. Sports is a very common interest, so it should attract a lot of attention if it already has 100k followers.
