I am seeing many topics wondering why the web app is down so here is what I think is the answer.
Many people think that it is because of coin sellers eg... but I don't think it is, if you haven't saw many pictures and videos already there is a lot with proof of trade offers which means Ultimate Team on the game may go down next as they will be updating it.

They deffo will not be bringing trade offers back because this means peole can switch coons from account to acount without paying ea tax! Also that trade offer glitch in the background also works on consoles

There's been a thread posted on this trade offer glitch and it's an interesting prospect but the web app was taken down with the primary aim of tackling coin selling. You'd be foolish to argue otherwise. The market is being broken at the moment and removing the web app has allowed for some much needed stability (as well as the possibility to trade).
Maybe the trade offer thing (if it even does happen) was a secondary or tertiary intention but tackling coin selling was without a doubt their main aim.

That only lasted a while on trade offers, they got rid of that glitch with that happening. So you'd send trade offers but still lose coins.
