I'd rather go to the future, only because I could "invent" a million dollar project.

I would bring back some weapon (fought cough Nuke cough cough) from today and start the arms race that happened in the 1950s then and see when I get back to the future, do we still exist.

I'd rather go to the future for two main reasons in particular.

One being, we know basically what has occurred in the past but can only predict what will happen in the future. For this curiosity, I'd like to go to the future.

Two, I feel a technology from 2085 would be of greater impact on our species rather than bringing a present day technology to the past.
