Meh, depends on the site. Nowadays there are very little elements you really need photoshop for since everything's really shifted to flat designs and anything not flat can be covered with CSS3 gradients, shadows etc.

The best editors in my opinion are Sublime Text 3 (fantastic) and Atom (for those GitHub peeps).
