ttggivengift wrote ok thanks again ive been researching other threads and seems no one can agree on what to run. so for that matter im just going to stick with sanctyy he has been the one to help and can explain why to a noob to which i cant thank enough and will def be seeking futher advice from him when the parts come in.
lol the joke here is sanctyy is the noob he has no idea what he is talking about watch this video [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] @ 1080p on ultra shadow of mordor starts to get effected by the vram issue th i if you want to run 4k i wouldnt get the 970 id get the 980

ok kind sir did you watch the video yourself? he was running 2 games on ultra setting at the same time on one 970. of course it wont be able to hold and not stutter with 2 games running maxed out. me myself i normally only play one game at a time. so that wasnt very convincing evidence imo.

umm were do you see two games ? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

he never closed out the bf4 then started skyrim....closed skyrim and then started shadows so bf4 was still running in the back ground. and he didnt have an issue with skyrim but he did shadows. and if this matters at all.....all i play is fps games so those large ass games doesnt really affect me on 200% resolution.

Stop talking shit. Educate yourself. You're going to cause confusion and possibly cause some people in these threads to waste money, solely because you don't have a clue what you're talking about. A single 980 runs about 10-15% better than a single 980 in 4k. SLI 970's out-perform a single 980 in 4k. A single 970 still runs 4k very well. Even bad games, like Unity, still run at a playable FPS. You've used SoM at 1080p as an example, but not a 4k game when you're arguing about 4k, good logic.

He'll probably try to argue back and get rekt, like he always does. It's pitiful. I'd personally take the Asus monitor but I haven't looked into 4k much myself, since it doesn't bother me.

if a 1080p game use almost 3.5gb of vram what do you think a 4k game is gonna do dumb **** listen to that video he even says people that play SoM and run 4k are gonna run into issues and it good for the average consumer thats not ganna be running high resolution when he builds his computer hes gonna be posting on here asking wtf is wrong with his computer and everyones gonna say its the vram issue trying to warn him before he buys but no one **** listen cause they think you know everything there is to know about computers when the fact is you have no **** clue done with this forum try to help people and they dont listen at all have fun with the 970 on 4k with stuttering and texture issues stupid **** dont believe me look up the vram issue every **** article about it says it will effect higher than 1080p resolution so many issues with your build its a joke hes ganna build his computer and relize he got **** and personally i could care less now cause he doesnt even care to take what i say into consideration and 200% of 1080p is only half of 4k so dont say it wouldn't effect you

No one takes into consideration what you say, because you talk a very large amount of shit in these forums and it's pathetic. We're all a little sick of you tbh. You're making a full out of yourself. The VRAM "issue" you're talking about is no issue, the card still has 4GB VRAM, the last 0.5GB is just a little slower. You're acting like the card is obsolete because it has 3.5GB of sufficiently fast VRAM, as if something like a 2GB 280 would be better, lol, just stop. Even a singe 980 handles SoM very poorly at 4k, stop using terrible games to back up your argument. SLI 970s still out-perform a single 980, even at 4k, regardless of the VRAM, that's a fact. Games aren't suddenly going to become self aware and think "Oh no, everyone knows the 970 has weird VRAM, better run shit now".
