Here is my Persuasive essay of why desktops are better than laptops. Make comments as if you were a teacher or add supporting facts to what I have.
Even with the portability of a laptop, say you turned around and it was stolen right out of your book-bag. Some people may argue that laptops are better or more efficient than desktops, but I believe that desktops are better than laptops because you get better performance for the price, they are more up-gradable, and finally they are more reliable.
The first reason I have is that desktops are better than laptops because you can get great performance for the price. Parts for a desktop are cheaper because the components are bigger and easier to fit into the spacey tower. This means that since the prices are cheap this means that the components better for a lower price. Also with a desktop you are provided with a keyboard and mice.
Another advantage of desktops are the fact that they are more up-gradable. This is because the roomy towers which allow parts to be put in and taken out more easily. In a laptop this cannot be done because all the components are smaller and compact into smaller spaces which also make it harder for self-repairs and adding upgrades by yourself.
Finally desktops are better because their more reliable. This means that the components are built to last, and that they can also be easily repaired. This can save people of constantly having to go spend money to have their laptops repaired, or replaced. Also there are less things that you have to worry about breaking as with a laptop there's the screen, keyboard, and mouse pad all put together as one.
In conclusion desktops are a better bang for your buck, because the great price to performance ratio, the up-gradability, and finally they reliability. Even though laptops have some advantages over desktops, desktops are overall better

This wont be as long as that but I personally like desktops more because they are easier and better to build. They are also cheaper even though harder for mobility. My vote is for desktops

I Recommend a Desktop
  • Faster
  • More sizes
  • Custom builds
  • Last longer
  • Custom Keyboards and Mouses

The only thing I like about laptops is that they are portable and good for school.

But at the end, I still prefer desktops over laptops.

I prefer desktops, but laptops obviously have their advantages. As for your theft argument, a phone can be stolen just as easily as a laptop, if not easier. Also, a desktop can be stolen from your house. If this is an actual persuasive essay that you're expecting to hand into a teacher, then I'm sorry to say but it most likely needs to be completely re-done. Your topic is your first obstacle, you're going to have to write a very good essay to get good marks, but with a better topic, you can be slightly sloppier and still get a good grade. As an example, I wrote a persuasive essay on the legalisation of cannabis for my English folio and had to put a lot of work in to get a 2(equivalent to a B at GCSE level). If I had chosen a better topic that wasn't so widely used, I could have easily gotten a 1(A).

You need to start using larger sentences, more intelligent sounding words. It's pretty stud, but that's how English works. You're spelling also isn't very good, nor your punctuation. That'll need to be fixed. There's a lot of misinformation and nonsensical sentences in there as well, and it's just purely not long enough. I can't remember exactly but for Scottish standard grades, your folio essay's have to be around 900-1000 words, and in Higher, you must write a minimum of 1300 words. You have around 350 or so, nowhere near enough.
