I agree with you, but these things will never change. When my kids have kids the same thing will be going on. That's how social classes and created and really what they thrive off of. For instance, when I was in high school there was a really ugly kid. I usually don't judge but I mean, he was pretty ugly. Anyway, he wore like buckle everyday and the occasional Versace. He was popular because of this. I don't know, I wish that this wasn't the case but kids are so judgmental

I kind of agree, sometimes to be accepted in middle school or high school you need to be like a little above average or whatever they call it. Honestly i'm in high school now and I like to wear whatever I wan't to haha anything I feel comfortable or anything. But I totally somewhat agree! I see guys with new Jordan's or new Jays, and girls with new purses or anything crazy like that.

I didn't give a crap at all about fashion in high school but in college I had to adapt. Now i hate people who go out of their way to buy the top of the line cloths where an outfit for a single day could cost over $500, but I can pull of something that looks good for less then $60. (and continue to wear it) The problem is people think that by having all the cloths in the world that they are popular, and something different everyday makes them look cool, when it makes them look snobby.

One thing you did bring up that I agreed with was the shoe epidemic that has been sweeping around where my friend has $20k worth of shoes, (no exaggeration and his instagram proves it) I have 2 pairs of sneakers, and boots for when it snows, and thats all I need. There is no reason to buy $300 shoes just to ruin them less then a week later, or only wear them once.

I laughed at the people that spend a lot of money on clothes in School, even though my area did have some wealthy people in it.

And here I am coming to school with basketball shorts and a nike T-Shirt, every days for 4 years.

I wasn't really popular in school, soooooo i never really tried to improve my image and why would i want to be like those self absorbed ass holes XD

but this isn't about popularity it's about clothes...

i was quite happy to buy second hand stuff sometimes, however i did get new clothes but only if i really needed them.

such as replacing old shoes, small t-shirts / jumpers and etc.

who cares about clothes XD

in our college, the year 12's try to dress as best as they can to be as 'cool' as possible. however when you get to year 13 you just grab what you see first and give less of a shit lol. but yes, some people do try too hard.
Then there is the one girl who looks like she just jumped into her wardrobe... eww. I would explain but I don't want people being sick...

I see where you're coming from. but some people like to impress others and weird as it sounds if you dress nice and girls like it but personally i don't spend a lot on my clothes.

I wouldn't want a girl who wants me for my clothes. But for my personality.

I'm wealthy, but could care less about what I wear as long as it covers my body. Of course for job interviews / dates I like to dress as best I can. But that's about it.
