Well, as the title of this topic states I am here creating a guide to one of the hardest quests in Dragon Age: Inquisition in my opinion, "Way of the Assassin"

This quest took me well over an hour and a half just to find where the hell I was supposed to go to gather all of the needed supplies, and then took me probably another 30 to 40 minutes to get everything rounded up. I hope to save everyone else some time and frustration with this guide, so without further ado, I am going to hop into it!

Also, there are some very minor spoilers in this quest guide, so be fore warned!

The quest says that you need an assassin book, and to get said book you are going to have to travel into your Skyhold tavern and go all the way to the top and look in the corner where Cole will be sitting. *you may or may not have Cole depending on choices made in game or progression*

If you do not have Cole in your game, you can go to "Val Royeaux" and buy the book from one of the merchants there.

For the second part of this guide, you are going to need 20 deathroot. There is a large amount of it in there area called the, "Western Approach" which can be unlocked at the war table if you have not already done so for 8 power I believe. Deathroot grows at the bottom of trees, in which are dead *hence the name deathroot* so be looking down for them!

If you are having trouble finding them, or do not want to be bothered to look for them, there is a merchant in the middle of "Crestwood" where an infinite number of them can be bought so long as you have cleared the rifts in that area that effect shop keepers.

The third part of this mission is to find the 3 assassin's guild tokens. The way you get these tokens is by killing the three assassin mini bosses (no chance, will drop when they are killed), or by killing assassin guild members (lesser chance to drop)

You can track down these three mini bosses once you have closed the rift under the drained lake in"Crestwood."

To unlock the entirety of "Crestwood", you have to complete the "Find the Warden" quest on the War Table, unlockable for 8 Power. No one seems to mention this tidbit, and I was very confused as to where the "Flats", "East Side Hills", and "Black Fens" were on the map. I originally thought each area was an entire region like "The Hinterlands".

Anyway, the first rogue is at the astrarium by the fisherman's hut. You will run right into him as you walk up the hill. Keep in mind that there will be a couple guards that fight with him.

This rogue can be found at a small shack on the lake to the north west of "New Crestwood."

This rogue will be due west of the dragon in the "Black Fens". He is next to a quarry.

Craft the weapon at a "Requisition Table", not a weapon table. This will be the last step, as you need all of the items to do so.

Go back to "Heir" and turn the quest in. After a short dialogue with her, you will unlock the Assassination specialization! As well as the achievement that goes along with it!

I hope you found this guide helpful.
