Over the last couple of years, American police officers have been put in a tough positions, well at least the one's that act like normal people doing their job. I just recently got pulled over for a routine check because a similar model as my car was stolen, so he was making sure I didn't switch plates or something. When he approached, I wont lie I was a little defensive, until he just said hi, and explained why I was pulled over. Long story short he was friendly and not hostile and it's really good to see at least some police officers doing their job the right way. I just wanted to shed some light and thank these officers for going about their jobs such a good way, and I really appreciate it.

Yeah, a majority of cops are nice and relaxed, it's the small percentage who just mess up. That small percentage can make it seem like all are bad and try to harm people, when really their main goal is to ensure peace & public safety.

I seen that video you linked and it was pretty funny.

It's nice to know there are still good cops out there. The one thing I have to argue about good cops is they just sit idly by and let all the corrupt officers do what they please. I know there's only so much they can do though.

I wish cops around here were that nice. Every time I get pulled over they're always asking if I've been drinking and then want to search my car. I think it's a joke that they can search my car after pulling me over for no license plate light, turn signal, etc.

Earlier this year my mum got pulled over for nothing. She turned at a green light and in the turn lane of the oncoming traffic a cop turned and pulled her over. He then asked if she had been drinking.(she doesn't drink) She told him she did nothing wrong and then the cop just went on his way. Like how can a cop just pull you over for nothing, they should be penalized.

Overall, I hate cops. When I see a cop do something good first hand then maybe I'll change my opinion. I just hate the fact that nothing is being done to rid these infested police stations of their corrupt officers. It has to start from the top though. If you fire a bunch of corrupt police officers and just leave in a corrupt police chief/captain it will just turn into the same thing again.

That's why I wrote this post, most cops I have encountered are always questioning you and trying to force you to stumble into crimes, they're "out to get ya" so to speak. If you don't know your rights (which some don't know their full rights), they can end up searching your stuff in a blink of an eye. I'm just happy to have met the officer I did today, really made me appreciate his way of doing his job. Made me want to thank officers like him.

I absolutely despise the idea of police, not officers themselves as I'm sure there are plenty of decent ones out there, just not around here. Every single one around my area are nothing but rude, insensitive, douchebags. I am a law abiding citizen of the United States and it disgust me that they try and treat me like a criminal. I have only dealt with the police a handful of times and they all act surprised when I know my rights and they can't do anything to me. The face they make when I stand there and not bend over on command like most do is hilarious. They look like fools.

In the State i live in, its becoming the exact opposite of your post.

I have family in law enforcement and i respect Police Officers because they have a tough job.

But a lot of new officers in my state think the uniform and badge means they are the king and no warnings will be made.

Yes i respect ALL Police Officers but most old officers will give you a warning if your 5 mph over and most new officers automatically give you a ticket.

This being said. I have never been pulled over for speeding. This is just a issue i have heard and seen wide opinions of.
