So..
I built a friend a Computer, installed and updated the latest drivers for all of the components and such.. When in game gets a blue screen, loaded up blue screen view and saying caused by driver 'dxgkrnl.sys' I'm aware this is indicating a problem with the graphics driver/directX so i checked the that the latest version is installed and still the same problem.
Factory restored windows = Same thing.
Complete new Genuine OS = same problem.
So i came to the assumption it could be a video card issue, put his GPU in my rig and its fine. Ran several stress tests over two days.
Ran HDD test came back fine
Ran MEM test came back fine.
All cable and components are installed properly.
SPECS = [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Specific GPU - Msi r9 280 3GB OC
PSU - xfx TS 550w
Blue Screen View - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
There also seems to be an issue with 'atikmpag.sys' but isn't coming under the Caused by driver bit..
edit: Also when installed the drivers that came with the disc instead of blue screening the drivers stopped responding but no blue screen as soon as i updated the drivers the pc gets blue screens.
Also under-clocked the GPU,

Then used a really old GPU (GT 610)which didn't require a PCIe power connector and it worked fine, im wondering if its possible it could be the PSU?
But went into afterburner and the Voltage looks fine.

You seem to have gotten yourself in quite a pickle. There's a few programs out there that monitor your pc and record the instance of a blue screen, so you can see exactly where it messes up. try downgrading your driver too, get one version older and see if the problem persists
[EDIT: could also be the game itself, I've had a few games that were programmed poorly in certain areas give me the BSoD, like SWTOR, and other RPG games like that.]

Its not the game, does the same on stress tests and other games..
Thanks for the suggestion ill give it a read. I was thinking the same as it states a driver issue, but re installed windows etc.., tried other older drivers, even under-clocked the GPU.
Well i put my GPU in his system and let him just play then went round the next day to see how it was he sais still the same problem, but think im gonna put my gpu back in his rig and run some stress tests my self.

Have you installed the correct AMD driver.
What I would suggest doing is just getting the network driver and installing that first.
Then, get the rest of the drivers from the manufactures website.
To De-cyper BS, I use [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] which is so good in fact, I use it at work.

Another suggestion is to use one of the drivers found automatically by DriverMax. They're partnered with Microsoft so it is secure, it's what I used before I knew how to work a computer that well xD

Then created a REG_DWORD file called TdrDelay and set the value to 60
Then went to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ GraphicsDrivers\DCI]
and edited the value Timeout from 7 to 60
will post back results.

I really feel it is software related. Although you can't rule out a defective card.
Have you done a memory test to see if you have a faulty stick of RAM? If not, run memtest on each stick of RAM individually in the first DIMM slot for at least one FULL pass. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Normally, one pass will catch most errors, but some errors only occur when the memory gets hot. So more passes are better. But if even one error shows up, the stick is bad.
One test you could do is boot to safe mode and run the game. I know the graphics will be horrendous, but it is just for a test to see if the driver is at fault.
Another thing to try, is uninstall the gfx driver and then run Driver Sweeper from safe mode. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .
Have it remove any remnants of AMD and Nvidia graphic drivers it finds. Re-boot and install the latest driver for your card and OS: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Get 10-30 seconds into a minceraft server and instead of Blue screening the computer crashes, and after a minute or so says no signal detected and PC has to be rebooted.
Also the crashes aren't showing up in blue screen view or whocrashed?
