The Supreme Court has finally agreed to take on the same-sex marriage issue.
A lot of people are now rejoicing and happy that the Supreme Court has finally agreed. People of both sides of the coin, there will be only 1 decision though.

The Supreme Court has finally agreed to take on the same-sex marriage issue.

The U.S. Supreme Court decided Friday it will tackle the issue of whether same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry, or whether states are allowed to ban gay marriage.
The nine justices are expected to hear oral arguments in April and deliver a ruling by June.
The Court had before it petitions from four states -- Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky and Michigan - all in the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals which recently went against the national trend and upheld gay marriage bans. The court granted petitions for all four states.
Earlier this month Florida became the 36th state in the country, in addition to the District of Columbia, to allow gay marriage.
In October, the court refused to hear several gay marriage cases -- but this time is different. The lower federal courts across the country are now divided on the constitutionality of same-sex marriage bans.
A lot of people are now rejoicing and happy that the Supreme Court has finally agreed. People of both sides of the coin, there will be only 1 decision though.
On June 26, 2013 -- in its first rulings on gay marriage -- the U.S. Supreme Court delivered a victory to gay rights advocates by rejecting parts of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act in a 5-4 decision. The court ruled legally married gay couples are entitled to the same federal benefits as male-female married couples.
However, it stopped short of a nationwide ruling that would have made gay marriage legal in every state.

I could care less about someones sexuality but its not natural. This was a God loving and fearing country and now its a Satan loving country.

Intolerant atheists are beyond butt hurt and won't even let Santa Clause be a decoration on public land.
They want memorials that have been there literally for generations to be taken down because somehow a 10 commandments plaque at a university is damaging to their religious freedom.
They want "In God We Trust" to be taken off currency, and they want to make it to be illegal for schools to say "Merry Christmas" around the holidays.
And this is coming from an atheist.

Thank you so much! I saw another comment and just said to myself oh great lets start the comment war. But this made me happy. Most people would've attacked me but just remember this they will go against the states choices on the bans against gay marriage and watch how are country does. We will fall.

There will always be people wanted to say it's bad.
And to them I say, who are you to say that two people can't love eachother?
What Authority do you have to say these two same sex humans are not capable of love, and should be looked down upon?
And lastly, what right do you have to deny these people from being wed? I did not know that everyone was an absolute authority able to make such decisions that only can only occur at a Court House.

Atheist or not, people still get way too butt hurt over someone saying "Merry Christmas" even if it's not directed to them, but they hear it, they assume they have to include themselves into it and make a bid deal about it. I know in some working places you can get in trouble for saying "Merry Christmas" over "Happy Holidays" and to be honest, I wouldn't doubt if a vast majority of schools follow suit.

The heart wants what they heart wants. We should let these people be with who they love, with all the same rights as any others.
