[size=26:fe6ba218ee]How to make custom themes for Google Chrome!

What you need:

- Google Chrome
- Pictures

1st Step:

Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2nd Step:

Once you are there, click on the "Theme Creator" tab in the top right of the page

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

3rd Step:

After you have clicked on that tab, it should bring you to a page that looks like this:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

As you see, there are 6 tabs: Start, Images, Images 2, Colors, Tints, and Pack.

Here is what each tab does:

Start: Change the theme's name
Images: Change the images of the theme
Images 2: Add some more images to further customize your theme
Colors: Add custom colors for you theme
Tints: Add custom tints to even further customize your Google Chrome theme
Pack: Download and Install the theme, or just download the theme.

Tab 1: Images!

As you will notice, there are many places you can add custom pictures to. Please note that you can upload ONLY pictures that are in .png format. Here is what you can customize:

Frame
Toolbar
Background tab
and Background

You also have the option for the background to repeat, repeat-X, repeat-Y, or no-repeat.

To add an image to your theme, just press on "Chose File", chose the file you wan to upload, then you are done! Please remember that they can only be in .png format!

Tab 2: Images 2!

The "Images 2" tab is just the same as the "Images" tab, but just allows more customization of your Google Chrome theme, here is what it looks like:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Tab 3: Colors!

In the "Colors" tab, which looks like this:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

you can edit many, many different things such as:

Frame
Inactive Frame
Incognito Frame
Incognito Frame Inactive
Toolbar
Tab Text
Tab Background Text
Bookmark Text
NTP Background
NTP Text
NTP Link
NTP Header
NTP Section
NTP Section Text
NTP section Link
Control Background
Control Background Alpha
Button Background
Button Background Alpha

Again, please note that those are all colors. To edit those all you have to do it click on the corresponding item you would like to change, and then chose the color. It comes with a handy color picker to chose what color you'd like!

Tab 4: Tints!

There is not much to say for this tab because I think it's pretty self explanatory, but what it does it lets you chose what kind of tints you would like for your Google Chrome theme.

Tab 5: Pack!

Congratulations! You have made it to the end of creating your custom Google Chrome theme! Pack is also pretty self explanatory, it packs your custom theme into well... a theme! There are two options you can chose from, 1) Pack and install theme (which will pack it (download it to your computer) and automatically install it into Google Chrome), or you can chose to just download the theme to your computer.

How to install a theme into Google Chrome

If you accidentally clicked on "Pack and download theme" and you don't know how to install it yourself, well I'm here to teach you! It's really simple actually, all you have to do it:

1) Get the .crx file you want to install (.crx is the extension of a Google Chrome theme)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2) Drag that into your Google Chrome browser. Once you do that, a little warning message should come up that looks a little like this:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

3) Click on continue, then your theme will be installed!
