Gamer score is so overrated in my opinion loads of people care about it and think it means a lot but in general all it is a number on your profile picture and people can only see it when they view your profile bet half the people you play with don't even view it so I really don't see why it's so overrated and that some people will risk being banned just to hack it and make it a larger number.

Gamerscore shows just how much you are a true gamer I guess. I agree to me personally gamerscore is useless. However it's other people opinions that it means something to them.

I don't try to get achievements so other people can see them, I get them because I like to challenge myself with the games and see what I can achieve. As far as it being just a number, that may be true and I wouldn't risk my account to mod it or whatever, but I still like seeing the numbers add up after I play games. I just think it's a fun thing to do.

The only think that makes me go for an achievement is because it's like challenges in a game not to show off to people

If you are earning gamerscore for someone else, there is no point in doing so. I have 82,000 legit gamerscore and I can fondly call myself an achievement whore. I enjoy earning achievements and maxing out games and then being able to help my friends with the achievements and write tutorials and what not on here for them. I enjoy going for gamerscore, and it makes me happy to do so.

If you do not like it, don't go for. You are probably one of those people that buy a game only for the online multiplayer

Achievements are useless and pointless only if you personally look at them that way.

In my opinion, I love the gamerscore. I challenge myself to get as much as possible, which hasn't happened nearly as much as I would like.

I have 36,000 while having a full time job.
