Hi guys, I have one of theese laying around and can't find my SATA to USB adaptor, could I somehow solder this to a USB and it work?

Never tried that but I figure something like this will work.

Take the two positives on the sata shown in the pic and connect to the usb positive and so on doing the same with the negative and ground.

If you try it let me know the turn out good luck

So I've got the yellow data or whatever wires soldered to the USB, and how should I go about the SATA? There's two wires which each contain 4 sub-wires. A USB only has 4 wires. Can, let's say, the left wires D+ be soldered to the right wire D+ and then solder straight to the D+ in the USB as one wire or no?

Yes I assume the positives can be linked together and then connected to the one positive on the usb. As goes for the other negatives
